Peter J. Majar, Jr., Managing Director
Peter Majar joined Freeman & Co. as one of the firms founding employees in 1991, rising to become a Managing Director in the firm before his departure in late 1997. Mr. Majar rejoined the firm in early 2004 as a Managing Director focused on building and expanding relationships with some of the firm’s largest clients.
Mr. Majar is currently responsible for leading the firm’s investment banking Securities Industry coverage. The Securities Industry includes the sub-sectors of: Broker-Dealers; Exchanges and Displayed Liquidity; Alternative Trading Systems and Dark Pools; and Capital Markets Trading Technologies including DMA, EMS, OMS, Risk Management and Pre and Post-Trade analytics companies.
Mr. Majar has broad transaction experience with clients as diverse as Deutsche Bank, Morgan Grenfell, Broadpoint Securities, RBC, Credit Suisse, BNY, Carlin Financial, First Albany, Pali Capital, Overnight Productions, SFX Entertainment and Avaya Communications.
For the six year period from 1997 to 2003, Mr. Majar was an Officer at Credit Suisse First Boston as well as a Founding Principal, Chairman and President of two companies, MK Partners, Inc. and Majar Capital, Inc. While at Credit Suisse First Boston, Mr. Majar was an Officer in the Technology Group of the Investment Banking Department, a top one or two group globally in both M&A and IPO’s. At MK Partners, Inc. and Majar Capital, Inc., Mr. Majar focused his time on the financial institutions marketplace and the sports & entertainment fields.
Mr. Majar received his BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
